Désirée Khoury is the managing director of QMS Engineers, specialized in providing business executives and owners with advice on enhancing business profitability and gaining increased customer satisfaction through improved quality management systems designed and implemented in compliance with the ISO 9001 International Standard.
The uniqueness of QMS Engineers resides in its project management style which is specifically designed to offer an insider's viewpoint and provide Turn Key Solutions in order to accomplish businesses quality management goals in the most expedient and cost effective manner.
Business Background
Désirée's business career in quality management systems began in 2001 with Comium Group of companies for telecommunications, e-Solutions and web services.
Over the next 8 years her assignments included development of quality control systems and implementation of quality management systems throughout organizations, as well as management reviews of organizations, and management systems auditing.
Désirée's consulting experience is both deep and wide, gained from various fields of businesses she tackled, as she engaged in designing, implementing and auditing quality management systems for organizations dealing with biomedical engineering, trading, insurance, e-Learning, freight forwarding, financial auditing, beauty care, technology, hospitality, as well as NGOs. This experience gave her a real appreciation for the challenges and opportunities faced by small and medium business owners.
The Edge
Throughout her career, Désirée has been actively involved in the development of quality management systems and organizations' structural reengineering as well as well advised procedures mapping.
Her years in professional consulting and the provision of quality training provided insight into many different type of businesses. She now brings that expertise to the aid of small and medium businesses in which the greatest leverage for today's highly competitive business environment is a better and smarter use of quality management systems based on the ISO 9001 International Standard.
Education
Désirée holds a Degree in Sciences of Education from Beirut's Saint Joseph University, and certifications in:
- Quality Management Systems auditing 19011:2002 from the AUB Regional External Programs, Continuing Education Center;
- Implementation of ISO 9001 from Construction Management Consultants, HR Development Program;
- The Discipline of Innovation: Creating Compelling Customer Value Executive Session from SRI University;
- LRQA ISO 9000 Series Lead Auditors - International Register of Certified Auditors from Lloyds
Mission and Vision
In her relentless pursuit of quality management and regulatory compliance, Désirée's future outlook is for QMS Engineers to be the ultimate partner of choice for organizations by focusing on being the facilitator of management improvement, organized on the principle of "Excellence through Service".
Her vision is revealed through her aim of helping in the growth of the Lebanese business community through more robust and highly professional companies.
Social Interests
Désirée is a member of Children's cancer centre. She's also an active member of SOS children's villages. On the other hand, she had a significant role in the launching of the media campaign of women's breast cancer awareness by working closely with the Ministry of Health Bureau. Furthermore, she joined the association of women and mothers against drugs. Désirée recently joined the LLWB where she hopes she will be able to use her professional expertise for the benefit of the organization. And last but not least, Désirée is currently the management consultant of KUNHADI NGO, for youth awareness on road safety.
