Jasmine Najjar

Conceptual copywriter and communication skills instructor, Jasmina Najjar knows how to create the right brand image through words. A native English speaker with extensive ad agency, journalistic and editorial experience, she currently offers her services as a freelancer.

Raised in London, Jasmina Najjar moved to Lebanon and graduated with high distinction from AUB in 2000 (BA in English Literature). She went back to the UK to pursue her MA in Literature, Culture and Modernity at Queen Mary, University of London. Her thesis was on fragmented Lebanese identity in the translated works of Rashid Al Daif.

Since 2002, Jasmina Najjar has worked as a journalist, becoming a managing editor, and as an advertising copywriter, becoming a senior conceptual copywriter with major pan-Arab accounts. Dedicated to empowering the youth with knowledge, she also taught English and Cultural Studies at university level on a part-time basis.

She now focuses her energies on teaching English communication skills at the American University of Beirut, ever eager to share her real-life writing skills and techniques with her students. She also does freelance copywriting and conceptual work (ATL and BTL) including brochures, websites, press ads, press releases, radio spots, television commercial scripts, product names and more.
