Work/Life Balance
"Work/Life Balance: common pressures, coping strategies" theme of latest LLWB's women in business-focused conference.
Beirut. Gefinor Rotana Hotel, May 3, 2007. Achieving work/life balance is a core concern for all working persons but mainly for women who are faced with daily challenges in several and different sectors in life. As demonstrated by many therapists, an unbalanced life, bad stress management and the uneasiness in solving problems are some of the results of a big discrepancy between one's values and personal conducts.
In Lebanon, a hardship country, one can imagine the many challenges and stressful environment a person is subject to. Thus the urgent need to find ways that can help active people, mainly women in business, in establishing life priorities, solving problems through proven techniques, defining both professional and personal mandates and ultimately analyzing the exact personal reasons of one’s uneasiness in achieving work/life balance.
In response to a big demand for this topic, the Lebanese League for Women in Business (LLWB) has once again catered a vital issue for all women in general and women in business in particular, by organizing a lecture, which was interactively presented by
Hania Naayem, clinical psychologist and cognitive behavioral therapist.
Hania Naayem tackled the above mentioned subject trough real techniques, introspective questionnaires and group discussions relative to time management, decision making, problem solving, and communication issues for a better conciliation of work pressure and personal life.
It is worth mentioning that this event was the 3rd of a series of lectures and conferences which comes as part of LLWB's Speakers Bureau Program funded, partially, through the Department of State, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, office of Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) under Cooperative Agreement, in cooperation with The Rady School of Management, Beyster Institute Program in San Diego.
LLWB thanks all the participants and partners and invites all to check the calendar of upcoming seminars and workshops on the association's website:www.llwb.org.
