The legal aspect of doing business in Lebanon is one of the major reasons behind undone projects and informal businesses, especially among Lebanese women, more reluctant than men when it comes to pass through the various costs, the legal channels and the number of time-consuming procedures to establish and register a business.

Yet female entrepreneurs have a vital role to play for the revival of our country's economy, thus the necessity to create an action-leading awareness about the legalities and duties for all to act consequently. Aiming at realizing this objective as part of its programme, LLWB has invited a large number of dynamic ladies from different industries to introduce them to the legal dimension of creating and/or expanding a business in Lebanon, on the occasion of its 4th conference that took place at the Gefinor Rotana Hotel.

The first fold of the subject was developed by Senior Associate at Alem & Associates law firm, Me. Dolly M. Choucair, who tackled the legal framework governing the establishment of a business in Lebanon and its implications.

As for the second fold, related to taxes and auditing, it was presented in depth by Mr. Wadih AbouNasr CA, director and the tax leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers Lebanon, who delivered taxation advisory and structuring to the audience.

These events are part of LLWB's Speakers Bureau Program funded, in part, through the Department of State, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, office of Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) under Cooperative Agreement, in cooperation with The Rady School of Management, Beyster Institute Program in San Diego.
