Along with more than 250 of the most prominent businesswomen and community leaders in the MENA region, LLWB was invited to attend the 2006 MENA Business Women's Summit, a unique and exciting conference for dynamic and talented female business leaders dedicated to economic progress and reform.

This invitation-only program provided participants with the opportunity to enhance their business skills, expand their networks and forge partnerships and alliances.
The Summit was sponsored by the US State Department's Middle East Partnership Initiative, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen's Council. It was developed and managed by the Beyster Institute at the Rady School of Management, University of California, San Diego.

During the three-day program, guests were able to take part in hands-on workshops and roundtable discussions with business experts, and benefit from the lessons learned by some of the most successful female entrepreneurs in the MENA region and the US.

The distinguished list of speakers and presenters included Patricia Cloherty, one of the world's foremost venture capitalists, Laura Nash, an authority in leadership and work/life issues, who has taught at the Harvard Business School, Lezlee Westine, an expert in advocacy and technology, who leads a major advocacy association, and Joel Wiggins, the incoming chairman of the U.S.-based National Business Incubation Association.

LLWB making its first appearance as a newly founded association was represented by its Vice-president and Hub Manager Hanan Saab, who outlined the mission and objectives of group.

The summit boosted the confidence of the LLWB members in attendance, who returned to Lebanon full of enthusiasm about their personal and professional roles in shaping the direction of future activities that support women entrepreneurs and executives in Lebanon.
