Cartier Womens Initiative

Cartier  Womens Initiative is a joint partnership between Cartier, the Women’s Forum, McKinsey & Co., and INSEAD to drive change through women entrepreneurs. 

Phase I - Three finalists from each of the six regions (Latin America, North America, Europe, Sub-saharan Africa, Middle East and North Africa and Asia-Pacific) are selected in the first round of the competition. These 18 Finalists receive coaching to move to the next phase where they submit a detailed business plan and defend their projects verbally in front of the Jury.
Phase II - The 18 Finalists are invited to attend the Awards Week and the 6 Laureates are nominated during the Awards Ceremony.

The coaching of the finalists and Laureates is conducted by Cartier managers, McKinsey & Company consultants, INSEAD alumni and INSEAD MBA students.

The Cartier Women's Initiative Awards is looking for committed female entrepreneurs heading initiatives with the potential to grow significantly in the years to come. It is a unique opportunity for early-phase women entrepreneurs to take their companies to the next level.

The 18 finalists, representing the top 3 projects from each of the 6 regions, will receive:
• One-to-one personalized business coaching prior to the Awards week
• Series of entrepreneurship workshops, knowledge sessions and networking events during the Awards week
• Media visibility
• A place on the INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship 6-Day Executive Program (ISEP)
• Networking opportunities through the Cartier Awards community

First prize for the 6 laureates:
• US$ 100 000 in prize money
• One-to-one personalized business mentoring
Second prize for the 12 finalists:
• US$ 30 000 in prize money
